We spent long enough painting our own prints to know what a brush has to do to survive a squad of them. So we had ours made: our shape, our five sizes, our name down the handle.

  • Size 2/0

    Eyes, teeth and rivets. The last thing you pick up before a model is finished.

  • Size 0

    Edge highlights and freehand, with enough paint behind it to finish the line.

  • Size 1

    The one that lives in your hand — layering and glazing over most of a 32mm figure.

  • Size 2

    Cloaks, robes and flat armour. Carries a wash without flooding the recesses.

  • Size 3

    Basecoats, bases and terrain, before any of the detail starts.
